Socializing

We are at Katie & Savanna's in Shutesbury, MA. We just had finnan haddie (smoked haddock) chowder and corn bread. Everyone is vaccinated. Part of a larger opening up, now that people are getting vaccinated. But our church is still by Zoom, as is Torah Study following. That was the earlier part of today. Yesterday there was an in-person graveside service in Guilford that I should have attended, but I forgot it.

We have been sharing language "pet peeves." E.g., "At this point in time"; or saying "He gifted me this," instead 'he gave me this;" or "he referenced the book" instead of "he referred to the book," etc. Just a few of a long list.

Tonight is the Windham-Union Association meeting, with Dr. Stephen Ray, President of Chicago Theological Seminary, as speaker. We need to get home for that.
