The Shenandoah Valley

Today we are traversing the Shenandoah Valley all the way from Northern Virginia into Tennessee near Knoxville. We stopped at the museum for the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester Virginia. We didn't go into the museum self but we went to the gift shop and that was a Bonanza for Ellen She found a lot of postcards and other cards. The museum was having an Albrecht Durer exhibit, and there were several books about Durer in the gift shop.  I love Durer and I wish we could've stayed to see the exhibit. There was also a Maxfield Parrish exhibit. Quite a nice museum.

Winchester was architecturally fascinating, including this baroque library building.

It is now 2:30, it has stopped raining and we're actually seeing blue sky; the road is dry. We have passed Roanoke and about 12 miles from Radford. We should get to our motel by six or so and watch the returns! O boy ! Fingers crossed !

I seem to have developed a cold, the major symptom of which  is extreme hoarseness. But the voice recognition app is still able to recognize most of my words. Amazing.
