Post-op

So, the decision was made for surgery. The MRI showed that the cyst had not shrunk, though the inflammation was much less, which is probably why Betsey was experiencing more movement and strength in her hand. Betsey went into surgery at about 5:15pm, and Dr. Lillehei came out a bit ago, about 1 3/4hr.  later,  - I was stretching my legs and he came while I was away - but he reported that surgery went well, he drew of 4 cc's of fluid from the cyst and installed a catheter. He did have to make two tries to get to the cyst, so the trauma caused is unknown. But he was generally pleased with what he found and what he was able to do. So Betsey is now in recovery and we'll be able to see her pretty soon.
