Lunch with Mary Andersen

Today we picked up Anne Janeway at her home in Marlboro and drove to Bennington to have lunch with Mary. We were able to drive over the lawn up to the back door to make it easier for Anne: she didn't have to climb 14 steps! Ellen made squash soup and Mary contributed quiche, salad and pumpkin cheese cake! Good lunch! We talked and talked and suddenly it was after 4pm and getting dark. We said our goodbyes with the promise to come again and took Anne home. It was dark by then. We got home after 6pm. We had some supper and watched the news and then it was time for short stories!
