Memorial Celebration

The long planned-for event took place last Saturday evening: the release of I Invite the Children to Come Forward. It was a wonderful event. John and Cynthia played beautifully (they form the duo Coracle, playing Celtic harp, cello and Irish whistle.) Katie Shay sang From a Distance - also beautifully. Five storytellers (including me) recreated stories from the collection. Ellen put on a fabulous reception with her baked goods. And we sold out the first run of printed books. Now we are looking ahead to Ben's bar mitzvah and a trip to the west later in June. This blog should begin getting a bit more active. I'll try to post some photos but here's one from last weekend - Katie standing in front of a portrait of her grandmother at the Guilford Church.
